The Butterfly Garden is a section of a larger design for a 5 acre plot of land in Derbyshire.
A labyrinthian-style layout provides a place to explore. At the centre, paths open out onto a seating area with a large table - a place to relax, dine, and observe the visiting butterflies. Various benches throughout the design also provide places to pause, with options for either sunshine or shade throughout the day.
The planting has been carefully designed to provide food for caterpillars, nectar for butterflies, and places for butterflies to lay eggs and drink throughout the year and the lifecycle, as well as seasonal interest for observers.
